Bollywood’s reigning superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with his sons Aryan Khan and Abram Khan, is set to voice key characters in the Hindi version of Disney’s highly anticipated family entertainer, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. This marks the first time the trio has come together for a project of this scale, bringing added excitement to one of the year’s most awaited films.

The upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King will explore the origins of the iconic jungle king, with Shah Rukh Khan once again lending his voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version. Aryan Khan will voice Simba, while young Abram Khan takes on the role of a young Mufasa, making this a special family affair.

Shah Rukh Khan, reflecting on this unique opportunity, shared, “Mufasa’s legacy is truly timeless. As a father, I feel a deep connection with his journey. What makes this project even more extraordinary is the chance to share this experience with my sons, Aryan and Abram. Revisiting Mufasa’s character has been an exceptional experience. ”This will mark a return to these beloved roles for both Shah Rukh and Aryan, heightening anticipation for their performance.

As reported, Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios at Disney Star said, “Mufasa is more than just a fictional character, he embodies a spirit that has inspired generations. Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan returning to voice Mufasa and Simba brings a unique depth to our family entertainer. With Abram joining, the film has become even more special. We hope Indian audiences will enjoy this incredible story with their families.” ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ blends live-action filmmaking techniques with photoreal computer-generated imagery. Directed by Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, the film features original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The English version includes voices of Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba, and Braelyn Rankins as Young Mufasa.

Directed by Barry Jenkins, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ is scheduled for release in India on December 20, 2024, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
