Is Bollywood ruled by nepotism? With generations of actors from the Kapoor and Khan families getting big roles despite their acting talent, often this debate has taken over the internet. Many outsiders have often revealed how difficult it is to make their own way. Despite that, many including Shah Rukh Khan and Kartik Aaryan have craved their path in the industry. Is it really hard for outsiders? Here’s what Chandu Champion has revealed.

In a recent interview with GQ India Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan opened up about the hurdles he has encountered as an outsider in the film world. He shared his thoughts on the struggle to be admitted and find opportunities without having any ties in the industry. “It’s harder to get the opportunities, or your work recognized when you’re not from the industry. He acknowledged that entering the industry as an outsider involves starting over and fighting for fairness.

Aaryan also spoke about the importance of taking care of one’s mental well-being during tough times recognizing the impact of not having advantages. Despite the challenges, he now views being an outsider as a plus, attributing his accomplishments to his commitment and willpower.

In a similar vein, filmmaker Kabir Khan shared his thoughts on the importance of box office performance compared to a movie’s lasting impact. Kabir, who worked with Aaryan on Chandu Champion highlighted that while ticket sales are significant the true yardstick for the success of a film lies in its timeless legacy. Despite their initial negative movie office reaction, he mentioned Chandu Champion and 83’s continued appeal on streaming services as a sign of their continuing charm.

Chandu Champion explores the story of Murlikant Petkar who made history as India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. This film also marks Aaryan’s debut partnership with Kabir Khan. With production by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, it highlights Petkars achievements in sports like wrestling and hockey.
