Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a film starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles, appears to be a family entertainer based on its recently released trailer. Directed by Raaj Shandilyaa, who previously directed Dream Girl, the film is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl.
The trailer opens with Rajkummar Rao’s character, Vicky, suggesting to his wife, Vidya, that they record a video of their first night after the wedding to keep as a memory for their old age. Chaos ensues when the CD with the video gets stolen.
The trailer also features actors Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat, who add to the comedic elements. They deliver some of the funniest lines in the trailer. Seasoned actor Tiku Talsania, known for his many comic performances, is a perfect addition to the cast.
On Wednesday, Triptii and Rajkummar announced the trailer release date of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in a quirky video. In the video, they played the roles of news reporters from the 90s and introduced their film’s producer Bhushan Kumar as “T-series ke malik (owner of T-Series).” They said, “Film producer Bhushan Kumar, known for his music company T-series which has produced songs like Chaar Botal Vodka and Ma Muradein Meri Puri Kar De, brings 100% 90s cinema in collaboration with other producers.”
In the video, they also promised that the film is a 97 per cent family entertainer and 3 per cent “pure family entertainer.”
