At the audio launch of Vettaiyan, Amitabh Bachchan took a moment to reflect on his co-star Rajinikanth’s early struggles and enduring humility. Their reunion on set, nearly 33 years after their iconic film Hum, prompted Big B to share heartfelt memories from their earlier days in the industry.

In a special video message, Amitabh recalled the stark contrasts in their work environments during the shoot of Hum. While he rested in his air-conditioned vehicle, Rajinikanth displayed remarkable dedication, often opting to sleep on the floor during breaks. “Watching him be so simple, I came out of the vehicle and rested outside,” Amitabh shared, highlighting Rajinikanth’s unpretentious nature.

Bachchan expressed deep admiration for Rajinikanth, calling him the “supreme of stars” and emphasizing that such humility is rare in the film industry. “He embodies the spirit of perseverance and hard work,” Amitabh said, recognizing how Rajinikanth’s early struggles shaped his character and career.

The upcoming film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel and set to release on October 10, 2024, marks Rajinikanth’s return to his iconic cop persona. With a star-studded cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier, the film promises to be a grand spectacle.

As Amitabh reflected on their journey, he celebrated not only their professional bond but also the values they both learned through years of dedication and hard work in the industry. Their stories serve as a reminder of the grit and resilience that define true stars.
