In an exclusive interview with ETimes, director Raaj Shaandilyaa revealed that Sherawat initially misunderstood the casting offer. “When we approached her, Mallika thought we were asking her for a dance number,” Shaandilyaa shared with a chuckle. “But when we clarified that the role was written just for her, she loved the character and signed on immediately.”
Sherawat, who made waves in Bollywood with films like Murder, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Welcome, had taken a step back from mainstream cinema in the past decade. Her return is highly anticipated, especially in a film that promises to showcase her in a bold and courageous avatar—traits that align perfectly with her past on-screen personas.
