Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took home the Best Actor award at the 2024 International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) for his role in the action thriller Jawan. The award ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi, marking the third consecutive year the event was hosted there. After a five-year break from leading roles, Khan expressed his joy at returning to the screen and being recognized for his work, stating, “It’s good to be back.”
Jawan marked SRK’s triumphant return to cinema, alongside his other blockbuster Pathaan, released last year. The night also saw Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal winning Best Picture, while Rani Mukerji was named Best Actress for her role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
The event featured performances and tributes to Bollywood, with stars like Shahid Kapoor and Anil Kapoor also making notable appearances.
