Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his stunning visuals and remarkable storytelling, but it seems he was completely spellbound the first time he met Deepika Padukone! In a recent interview, Bhansali reminisced about their first encounter at her home, admitting he was literally frozen when she opened the door.
He described being captivated not just by her beauty but also by her enchanting voice, saying, “She started talking, and I realized her voice was beautiful.” Bhansali elaborated, “When I met Deepika for the first time, I froze by the beauty of the woman, by the eyes. There’s so much subtlety, fragility, and beauty.”

Reflecting on their history, Deepika shared that she initially felt unworthy of being Bhansali’s muse. She recalled being bedridden when her team told her Bhansali wanted to discuss a film. Despite her illness, she was thrilled to learn he was coming to meet her.
