Malayalam actor Bala was arrested by Kadavanthra police on Monday morning after his ex-wife, singer Amrutha Suresh, lodged a complaint accusing him of insulting her through social media. The drama unfolded when Amrutha claimed that Bala’s online posts had not only targeted her but also emotionally harmed their daughter, Avantika.
Bala was taken into custody following a medical examination at Ernakulam General Hospital, facing charges of outraging the modesty of a woman and violations under juvenile justice laws. The escalating feud between the former couple reached a breaking point when Bala alleged that Amrutha was preventing him from meeting their daughter. In response, Avantika posted a video accusing Bala of misbehaving with both her and her mother.
In a follow-up video, Bala expressed that he would no longer attempt to maintain a relationship with Avantika if she did not wish to meet him, intensifying the public spectacle of their personal issues.
