Bollywood stars Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan are set to grace the Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 stage tonight, offering fans exciting insights into their journeys. In tonight’s episode, Kartik Aaryan opens up about the moment he finally revealed his dream of becoming an actor to his parents.
During a conversation with host Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik shared a heartfelt story about the time he auditioned for his debut film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He revealed, “Mera pehli film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, uska audition crack huya, tab maine mummy ko bataya, papa ko bataya ki mujhe actor banna hai.” (I cracked the audition for Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and that’s when I told my parents that I wanted to become an actor.)
Kartik went on to describe how, just two days after sharing the news with his parents, his mother and aunt found themselves sitting in director Luv Ranjan’s office, watching his romantic scene on a laptop. “Mummy aur mausi mere director Luv sir ke office mein thi, aur wo romantic scene dekh rahe the,” he humorously shared, recalling the moment.
The episode is also expected to feature another exciting revelation from Amitabh Bachchan, where he reminisces about his first impression of Vidya Balan after her role in Parineeta. Big B shared how he immediately predicted her future stardom and advised Karan Johar to sign her for a film.
Kartik Aaryan’s debut film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2012), became a sleeper hit, catapulting him into Bollywood fame. The film, which starred Divyendu Sharma and Nushrratt Bharuccha, went on to have a successful sequel a few years later.
