Mumbai, Oct 19, 2024 – In a shocking twist, the renowned dance troupe V Unbeatable, famous for winning the prestigious ‘Best Talent in the World’ award on America’s Got Talent: The Champions (2019), finds itself embroiled in a massive Rs 12 crore cheating scandal. An FIR has been registered against six individuals, including their manager Omprakash Chauhan, and renowned choreographer-director Remo D’Souza, along with his production house.

The troupe members, hailing from the slums of Bhayander, alleged that Chauhan siphoned off their earnings from various international performances, including their victory on America’s Got Talent. Out of an estimated Rs 12 crore from 250 shows over six years, the dancers claim they only received Rs 2.4 crore.

Veer Narottam, one of the 28 dancers, revealed that Chauhan gradually took over as their manager without any formal agreement and withheld large portions of the troupe’s earnings. The complaint also names choreographer Rohit Yadav and accuses Chauhan of forgery, including falsely registering the V Unbeatable trademark under his name and transferring funds using forged documents.

Additionally, the troupe has accused Remo D’Souza’s production house of not fulfilling financial promises related to their participation in Dance Plus and a film project about the troupe, raising serious concerns over intellectual property rights.

The case has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with fans eagerly waiting to see how this high-profile legal battle unfolds.
