Bollywood star Kriti Sanon recently opened up about the struggles she faced as an outsider in the film industry, recalling the years it took her to shed the label of “Tiger Shroff’s heroine.” Reflecting on her journey during a candid conversation at The Indian Express Expresso, she shared how being paired with a star kid in her debut film, Heropanti (2014), made it difficult for her to establish her identity.

“The kids of Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari even called me ‘Tiger didi,’” Kriti joked. It wasn’t until her role in Bareilly Ki Barfi that she felt the tide turn in her favor. Now, with her third major release of 2024, Do Patti with Kajol, she’s cemented her place as a top Bollywood actress.

Kriti’s films Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew have already been massive hits this year, with Do Patti set to release on Netflix on October 25.
