Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has made his debut in the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, amassing a staggering net worth of Rs 7,300 crore. This marks his first appearance on the prestigious list, where he has already surpassed numerous industry stalwarts.

Apart from his numerous acting roles and brand endorsements, Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth is derived from his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, and his substantial holdings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders.

Industry analysts attribute Khan’s inclusion in the Hurun list primarily to the soaring value of Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchise that he co-owns with Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta under the Knight Riders Group banner. KKR lifted the IPL trophy this year, their third win since the inception of the tournament.

The superstar’s financial leap comes at a time when his recent films have single-handedly revived Bollywood’s fortunes. After a hiatus following the failure of “Zero”, Khan returned to the silver screen with “Pathaan”, a film that shattered box office records.

The film raked in Rs 543.09 crore in India and a whopping Rs 1,055 crore worldwide. The film’s success was soon eclipsed by his next venture, “Jawan”, which set new benchmarks with an India net collection of Rs 640.25 crore and a global haul of Rs 1,160 crore. Even his last release, “Dunki”, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, added another Rs 227 crore in India and Rs 454 crore globally to Khan’s ever-growing box office tally.
