Mahima Chaudhry, gearing up for her big-screen return in The Signature, recently opened up about a traumatic car accident during the shoot of Dil Kya Kare in 1999. In a candid interview, she shared the fear that gripped her after the accident, leading her to beg Ajay Devgn and Prakash Jha to keep it a secret. At the time, Mahima worried the news would lead to her being blacklisted from the industry, dashing her career dreams.

Despite sustaining severe facial injuries, the actress recalled how she initially underestimated the damage until she saw her reflection, realizing the magnitude of the cuts. Mahima explained that Ajay Devgn, her co-star, reassured her about recovery post-surgery, but the emotional toll was heavy. She even considered alternative career paths, fearing her face might never be camera-ready again.

In an industry where physical appearance can make or break a career, Mahima was deeply concerned. However, the support she received from Ajay Devgn and Prakash Jha, who kept the accident under wraps, helped her cope during that tough time. It was only 20 years later that the public learned the full extent of her ordeal.

Mahima has now embraced her scars, continuing to act in meaningful roles. Her upcoming film The Signature, also featuring Anupam Kher and Ranvir Shorey, marks her exciting return to the silver screen.
