The actress opened up about how her father’s determination and unique approach to landing roles in Bollywood have been a constant source of inspiration for her.
Shraddha, who always seeks her father’s advice on professional matters, revealed how he used to visit directors’ homes dressed as the character he wanted to play—talk about dedication! “He didn’t come from a film family. He literally had no connections in the industry. My dad would show up at directors’ homes, even when the security wouldn’t let him in, wearing the outfit of the role he was hoping to land. That’s how committed he was,” she shared.
The actress also highlighted Shakti Kapoor’s humble beginnings, coming from a non-film family with a background in business. Despite being urged to join a travel agency, he followed his passion for acting, attending acting school and chasing his dream—no matter how unconventional his methods were.
With Stree 2 now the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, Shraddha’s own career is soaring, but she remains grounded, crediting her father’s tenacity for her drive. “His stories remind me to stay focused and work hard,” Shraddha said.
