According to reports, Mushtaq Khan was invited to an event with advance payment and flight tickets sent to him. Upon landing in Delhi, he was picked up and driven to a remote location near Bijnor, where his abductors demanded ₹1 crore as ransom. They also withdrew over ₹2 lakh from his and his son’s accounts.
Escape and FIR Filed
Mushtaq’s escape was as dramatic as his ordeal. Early in the morning, upon hearing the Azaan, he identified a nearby mosque and ran towards it, eventually seeking help from locals and the police. His business partner Shivam disclosed that Mushtaq recognized the area and even the house where he was held captive. An FIR has been filed, supported by evidence like flight tickets, bank transaction details, and CCTV footage near the airport.

This incident follows a similar case involving comedian Sunil Pal, who was also kidnapped en route to Haridwar. Such events have raised alarm within the entertainment industry, sparking calls for better protection for public figures.
