In a plot twist fit for Bollywood, Akshay Kumar’s team has confirmed that he owns 50% of the intellectual property rights for the cult comedy Singh Is Kinng – meaning no sequel can happen without his approval! This revelation comes days after producer Shailendra Singh announced plans for Singh Is Kinng 2, teasing potential stars like Ranveer Singh or Diljit Dosanjh, but without Akshay in the iconic lead.

Die-hard fans who remember Akshay’s portrayal as Happy Singh are now thrilled to hear that any continuation of the franchise must go through the “Khiladi” himself. According to a source close to the actor, “Akshay and his team won’t let go of Singh Is Kinng rights and are only interested in a part two if the script is top-notch.”

Confirming the legal stance, Akshay’s team stated, “Mr. Akshay Kumar is the co-owner of Singh is Kinng and any rights to prequels, sequels, or franchises require his explicit consent.” Despite producer Singh’s claims, Akshay’s legal team insists no one else can take charge of the beloved franchise without him.

This news assures fans that if Singh Is Kinng 2 does hit screens, it’ll have the OG king at the helm
