Filmmaker Ashwini Dhir, known for directing movies like Son of Sardar and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?, has suffered an unimaginable loss as his 18-year-old son Jalaj Dhir passed away in a car accident. The tragedy occurred shortly before the filmmaker and his son were set to travel to the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa for Dhir’s movie Hisaab Barabar.
The Accident: What Happened?
Reports suggest that Jalaj was traveling with three friends in a car reportedly moving at a speed of 120-150 mph. The vehicle lost control and collided with a divider between the service road and a bridge at Vile Parle. Alongside Jalaj, another passenger, identified as Sarthak Kaushik, also lost his life, while two others sustained minor injuries.
