Popular Indian rapper Badshah has found himself in legal trouble following the release of his latest track, Velvet Flow. The Punjab Police registered an FIR against the artist after allegations that the song contains content deemed offensive to the Christian community.

According to a report by PTI, the complaint was filed by Emanual Masih, representing the Global Christian Action Committee, who took objection to the use of religious references such as the words “church” and “Bible” in the song. The complainant claims that these were used in a disrespectful and offensive context, hurting the sentiments of the community.

The FIR was filed at Qila Lal Singh police station in Batala, Punjab’s Gurdaspur district, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The controversy has also led to public demonstrations, with a protest breaking out in Batala shortly after the legal action was initiated. So far, Badshah has not issued any public statement addressing the controversy or the FIR.

In the midst of the backlash, Badshah also made headlines for a completely different reason — his dramatic physical transformation. The 39-year-old rapper recently posted a video showcasing significant weight loss, leaving fans stunned and showering him with praise for his new look.

Badshah, known for hit songs like DJ Waley Babu, Genda Phool, and Jugnu, has long been a dominant figure in India’s music scene. While the legal situation unfolds, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see how the artist responds to the controversy surrounding Velvet Flow.
