Looks like Ektaa Kapoor and the team of The Sabarmati Report have reason to celebrate, and this time, it’s not just the box office numbers! Union Home Minister Amit Shah has extended a special shout-out to the film, which is stirring quite the buzz for its bold narrative. The movie, starring Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Digra, and Raashii Khanna, has been making waves not just for its story but also for the recognition it’s getting, including being made tax-free in states like Madhya Pradesh.

Amit Shah, known for his outspoken support of projects that align with his views, recently met the film’s team and shared a few snaps, praising their courage to “narrate the truth” about the sensitive events surrounding the Godhra train tragedy. In his X post, he emphasized how the film challenges misleading narratives, saying, “The film exposes the lies and the misleading facts to unveil the truth that was suppressed for a long time.”

In a heartwarming gesture, Ektaa Kapoor took to her own X handle to thank Amit Shah for his kind words. She wrote, “Thank you, Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah Ji, for your kind words and recognition. Your appreciation of #TheSabarmatiReport and its effort to unveil the truth, as the film highlights, ‘इतिहास का आईना कभी झूठ नहीं बोलता,’ inspires our team to continue revealing untold truths.” It’s safe to say, the producers are riding high on the political praise!

But wait, the love doesn’t end there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also threw his weight behind the film, praising its effort to reveal the truth, saying, “It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it.” The support from the country’s top leaders has surely given the film a much-needed boost!

The film, based on the 2002 Godhra tragedy, is already getting attention for more than just its political message. With Vikrant urging audiences to set aside political leanings and watch it as a “human tragedy,” it’s clear that The Sabarmati Report is looking to spark reflection and conversation on a national scale.

So, with political heavyweights backing it, will The Sabarmati Report turn into a box-office sensation? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – the film is definitely leaving an imprint in the political and cinematic landscape.
