Singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya is in mourning following the passing of his father, renowned music director Vipin Reshammiya, who died on September 18, 2024, at the age of 87. His last rites were conducted in Juhu, Mumbai, with numerous friends and colleagues from the industry coming together to pay their respects.
Vipin Reshammiya had been battling age-related health issues and was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital prior to his passing. Close family friend Vanita Thapar confirmed the news, stating, “He had a breathing problem and passed away peacefully at 8:30 PM.”
The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including director and choreographer Farah Khan, singer Shaan, producer Ramesh Taurani, and actor Kishwar Merchant, all offering comfort to Himesh and his family during this difficult time.
In a heartfelt statement, Himesh’s family shared, “It is with profound grief that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Shri Vipin Reshammiya. His presence lit up the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and timeless music.”
