With Karan Arjun set for a grand re-release, Rakesh Roshan offered a rare glimpse into the quirky behind-the-scenes moments from the film’s making. Back in 1995, when Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were climbing the stardom ladder, the duo lived humbly during the shoot, bunking in 15×15 rooms at an ashram-turned-hotel! “There were no hotels around, so we turned an under-construction ashram into a hotel,” Roshan shared. “I told them to add bathrooms and ACs, even if the rooms shrank.”
But the real fun was in the mornings! Rakesh fondly recalled waking up his stars, likening it to dealing with mischievous kids. SRK, always disciplined, would get up without protest. Salman, however, hid under his pillow, cheekily claiming, “I’m ready!” before finally heading to the bathroom under Roshan’s insistence.
As Karan Arjun gears up for its big-screen comeback, complete with a special voiceover by Hrithik Roshan, fans are treated to not just nostalgia but a sneak peek into the camaraderie and chaos behind the blockbuster. It’s a walk down memory lane, proving that even superstars have humble beginnings!
