Munawar recounted the moment his son, only one and a half years old at the time, fell gravely ill. After several days without improvement, doctors identified the condition as Kawasaki disease, requiring immediate treatment with three injections priced at Rs 25,000 each. With only Rs 700 in his wallet, Munawar described how he stayed composed in front of the doctor, saying, “I smiled casually, assuring him I’d arrange the money. But as I walked out, I froze for nearly 40 minutes. It was the heaviest moment of my life.”

A Desperate Search for Help

Determined to save his son, Munawar made ten frantic calls seeking financial help. Eventually, a former workplace agreed to lend him the money. Traveling to Mumbai Central to collect the funds, he returned within three hours. Despite the relief of securing the treatment, Munawar recalled, “I couldn’t smile because it wasn’t my money.”

The experience left a lasting impact on Munawar, shaping his priorities and outlook on life. “That situation scared me. After that day, I promised myself I’d never be financially unprepared again,” he shared.
