Singer Neha Kakkar is under fire following a heated back-and-forth with the organizers of her recent Melbourne concert. What began in March as a tearful apology to fans over show delays has now evolved into a full-blown controversy, with event organizers accusing the Bollywood singer of misrepresenting the situation.
Kakkar had initially addressed the audience in an emotional moment, blaming the show’s poor planning on the organizers. She claimed her team was denied basic amenities like food, water, and accommodation and that she was left without clarity about show logistics or payment. However, these allegations have now been challenged by Australian event coordinators Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa.
In a conversation with interviewer Siddharth Kannan, rapper and host Pace D clarified that Neha was invited by Beat Production in Melbourne. He alleged that Kakkar arrived nearly three hours late, well past the scheduled start time of 7:30 PM, and refused to take the stage until the venue was filled to capacity. “She said, ‘Only 700 people? Until more people come in and this place fills up, I’m not going to perform,’” Pace D claimed.
Event co-organizer Bikram Singh Randhawa added that the crowd, which included families who had spent up to AUD 300 (approx. ₹15,000–₹16,000) on tickets, waited eagerly for Kakkar, but her delay left many frustrated. He emphasized that punctuality is particularly valued in Australia, and that expectations were not met.
Further defending the event’s preparation, Pace D stated that all technical needs, including the full setup of sound systems and microphones, were met. Opening acts reportedly performed smoothly, and no logistical shortcomings were observed. “The tech rider was fulfilled. There was no issue from our side,” he said.
These statements contradict Kakkar’s version, where she had accused organizers of not paying vendors, causing delays in the soundcheck, and leaving her team in a difficult situation without communication.
As of now, Neha Kakkar has not responded to the new allegations. The conflicting narratives have left fans divided, with some sympathizing with the singer and others questioning her conduct during the event.
