Being movie buffs we know one thing for sure, Indian filmmakers and audiences love their biopics. And the one life, which deserves to be told on celluloid, is that of the late Parveen Babi. She was an icon of grace, beauty, fashion and acting capabilities all rolled into one. Her biography, written by author Karishma Upadhyay, Parveen Babi: A Life has been inspiring people to have mental health conversations for years now.
In the past, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who had a close relationship with Parveen Babi has made multiple films inspired from Parveen’s life. Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee and parts of Arth and Woh Lamhe were inspired by Parveen Babi’s life and times. It will be interesting to see how this new project plays out.
That’s not all. Our sources inform us that Triptii Dimri has been approached to play the lead. While things may not have been finalised, our sources are confident that Triptii is the top choice to play the lead role in this biopic on Parveen Babi. The makers have considered other actresses as well, but for now, Triptii seems to be at the top of the list.
