Mumbai – Filmmaker Payal Kapadia continues to shine as her Cannes-winning film, All We Imagine As Light, has garnered five nominations at the 17th Asia Pacific Screen Awards. This remarkable achievement follows the film’s historic win at Cannes, where it became the first Indian film to secure the prestigious Grand Prix award.

The film has been nominated for several top categories, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay for Kapadia herself. Additionally, Kani Kusruti received a nomination for Best Performance, and Ranabir Das was recognized for his work with a Best Cinematography nod.

This Malayalam-Hindi film tells the compelling story of two Kerala nurses, Prabha and Anu, living in Mumbai. The film is an official collaboration between Chalk and Cheese Films (India), Another Birth (India), and Petit Chaos (France).

Other notable nominees include April by Dea Kulumbegashvili, which also secured five nominations, and Boong, an Indian youth film backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The awards will take place on November 30 at The Langham, Gold Coast, Australia.
