The Pushpa 2: The Rule trailer launch in Patna on Sunday saw unprecedented fan frenzy at Gandhi Maidan, where over 10,000 people gathered to see Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. The excitement spiraled into chaos as fans breached barricades, climbed structures, and created a stampede-like situation in their zeal to get closer to the stars.

Police resorted to lathi charges to control the crowd, while videos showed some attendees throwing slippers and objects at security personnel. The incident, although intense, was contained without major injuries, according to officials.

Security Under Pressure

Despite heavy police deployment, the enthusiasm of fans overwhelmed security arrangements. Many attempted to climb on scaffolding for better views, causing disruptions. Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra stated that only a small group created trouble and was promptly handled. District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh reassured that everything was under control post-incident.

Directed by Sukumar, the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster features Allu Arjun reprising his role as a daring smuggler, alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna. The trailer, which hit 10 million views across languages within hours, has heightened excitement for its December 5 release.

With a budget of ₹300 crore, Pushpa 2 is positioned as one of the most significant Indian cinematic releases of recent times. While the trailer launch stirred controversies, it also underscored the overwhelming fan anticipation surrounding the film.
