Triptii Dimri, one of Bollywood’s most talked-about rising stars, recently shared the tough reality she faced when she made the leap to Mumbai to pursue her acting dreams. Despite her success in films like Qala and a standout role in Animal, she recalled the disparaging remarks from relatives that sought to undermine her ambitions.

During an engaging chat on Katrina Kaif’s YouTube channel for Kay Beauty, Triptii, who grew up in Delhi but hails from Uttarakhand, reflected on the harsh judgments cast by family members. “When I decided to become an actress, I faced a lot of skepticism. They told my parents, ‘Why let your daughter enter this profession? She’ll get into trouble, make bad choices, and no one will ever marry her,’” she recounted, highlighting how such comments weighed on her early days in the industry.

There were moments when self-doubt crept in, especially during dry spells in her career. “I often felt lost, and it was hard when I had to face days without work. But I couldn’t go back to my parents and say I had given up,” she admitted, emphasizing her determination to succeed.

Turning the tide on her critics, Triptii has emerged not just as a beloved actress but also as a cultural icon, earning the title of “national crush.” At a recent event, she expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans, stating, “When I entered the industry, my goal was for people to talk about my craft. Thankfully, that’s what they’ve done, and it motivates me to keep pushing forward.”

As she prepares for a busy lineup of films, including Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Rajkummar Rao and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri is proving that hard work and resilience can silence the naysayers. With her rising star status, she’s not just making waves in Bollywood but also inspiring many to follow their dreams against all odds.
