The web series, currently being filmed in New Delhi, will revisit the brutal double murder of siblings Geeta and Sanjay Chopra, a tragedy that shook the nation and left an indelible mark on India’s legal and criminal history.
The show is based on the real lives of Kuljeet Singh (Ranga) and Jasbir Singh (Billa), two criminals who were convicted of kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder of the two teenagers. The case not only gained nationwide media attention at the time but also sparked widespread outrage and demands for justice. The Delhi High Court eventually handed them the death penalty, calling the crime “cold-blooded, ruthless, and fiendish.” The execution was carried out in 1982, marking a grim closure to a case that had deeply impacted public consciousness.
