Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi, Zoya Hussain, and Sai Tamhankar, has had a slow start at the box office. The film, which released on April 25, 2025, managed to collect ₹6.75 crore net in its first week. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film revolves around a BSF operation in the aftermath of the 2001 Indian Parliament attack.

The movie opened with ₹1.20 crore on Friday and showed slight growth over the weekend, collecting ₹5 crore by Sunday. However, the collection declined sharply during weekdays, with only ₹20 lakh earned on Thursday. The overall trend suggests limited audience interest despite the film’s patriotic and action-driven plot.

One of the key reasons for the underwhelming performance is the strong competition it faced at the box office. Ground Zero clashed with the re-release of the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, which drew nostalgic viewers. It also had to compete with ongoing films like Kesari 2 and Jaat, which continued to perform steadily.

Adding to its challenges, the film’s second weekend brings even bigger threats. Ajay Devgn’s high-octane sequel Raid 2 has taken a strong lead, while Sanjay Dutt’s horror-comedy The Bhootnii has also released. While The Bhootnii may not pose a major threat, Raid 2 is expected to dominate the screens, leaving little room for Ground Zero to recover.

As Ground Zero steps into its second week, its future at the box office appears uncertain. Unless it gains strong word-of-mouth support quickly, the film may continue its downward trend in the coming days
