The highly anticipated sequel to the 2020 Netflix thriller Raat Akeli Hai has officially wrapped up filming. Director Taran Bajaj shared the news on Instagram, posting celebratory images from the set on May 5, 2025. The photos showcased the team cutting a cake adorned with the message “Raat Akeli Hai 2. It’s a wrap,” marking the completion of the shoot. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who reprises his role as Inspector Jatil Yadav, was seen in the photos alongside co-star Chitrangada Singh and other crew members.

The sequel is set to continue the story from the original film, with Siddiqui’s character investigating a new series of crimes. While the plot details remain under wraps, it’s known that the film will be shot across multiple Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Kanpur. The production is expected to conclude by March 12, 2025.

In the original Raat Akeli Hai, Siddiqui’s portrayal of a small-town cop investigating a local politician’s death garnered critical acclaim. The sequel aims to build upon this success with a fresh crime story, retaining key characters such as Radhika Apte, who plays Radha, and introducing new elements to the narrative.

Fans of the original film can look forward to the return of Inspector Jatil Yadav as he delves into another complex mystery. With the filming phase now complete, attention turns to post-production and the eventual release date on Netflix.
