In a surprising turn, the highly anticipated audio launch of Thug Life has been officially postponed. The event, which was originally scheduled for May 16, was expected to be one of the biggest promotional spectacles ahead of the film’s June 5 worldwide release. However, Raajkamal Films International, the production banner behind the film, has now confirmed a delay.

Taking to social media platform X, the production house expressed regret over the rescheduling and assured fans that a new date will be announced soon. Lead actor Kamal Haasan also released a brief statement, confirming that the grand launch has been pushed back and urging audiences to stay tuned for updates.

The news has come as a slight disappointment to fans who were gearing up for the event, especially after the electrifying response to the first single “Jinguchaa.” The song, featuring Sanya Malhotra’s viral dance moves, became an instant hit and heightened the buzz around the film.

Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, features a star-studded ensemble including Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan, Silambarasan TR, and Sanya Malhotra. The film is touted to be an emotionally charged action thriller with high-octane visuals and a gripping narrative.

Despite the hiccup in promotional events, the expectations from the film remain sky-high. With its powerful cast and the return of the Kamal Haasan–Mani Ratnam collaboration, Thug Life is poised to dominate the Tamil box office. After its theatrical release, the film will make its way to Netflix for streaming, as confirmed earlier by the platform.

Fans now eagerly await the new date for the audio launch, which is expected to kick off the final leg of promotions for what could be one of the year’s biggest blockbusters.
