Bollywood’s beloved actor Arshad Warsi has officially joined the cast of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action-thriller King—and it’s all thanks to a personal gesture from SRK himself. According to a report by Mid-Day, Warsi agreed to take on a small but pivotal role in the film after Shah Rukh personally reached out to him, leaving the actor deeply touched.

A source revealed, “Arshad is doing the film only because he loves Shah Rukh. His role is a sweet, quirky, funny, and cute one with slight grey shades; and only Arshad can play it to perfection.” Despite the role being brief, it holds weight in the overall plot and adds a unique flavor to the ensemble cast.

Directed by Suhana Khan’s debut directorial team, King marks the first on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. The film also boasts a star-studded lineup including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. Principal photography begins on May 18, while Arshad will join the shoot in late June, after finishing work on Dhamaal 4.

This marks Arshad Warsi’s second professional connection with Shah Rukh Khan. SRK made a cameo in Warsi’s 2005 comedy Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye, making King a nostalgic reunion of sorts.

Arshad Warsi’s Upcoming Projects:

  • Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi

  • Dhamaal 4 alongside Ajay Devgn

  • Welcome to the Jungle with Akshay Kumar

  • Pritam Pedro with Vikrant Massey

  • Now, King with Shah Rukh Khan

Warsi’s entry into King only adds more charm and comic spark to what is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most awaited films. With emotional depth, a powerhouse cast, and a touching backstory behind the casting, King is already winning hearts ahead of its release.
