The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to clear the air, claiming that the accusations were part of a calculated effort to “silence his voice” and create unnecessary family strife.
Manchu’s post, titled Setting the Record Straight, included a powerful call for a transparent and righteous investigation into the matter. This comes after Mohan Babu filed a police complaint accusing his son and daughter-in-law of assault and labeling them as “anti-social elements.”
In his lengthy note, Manchu clarified that the claims were entirely fabricated, emphasizing his and Mounika’s self-reliance and dignity. “We have always lived with dignity and never sought any financial support from the family,” he wrote. He also addressed the false narrative around his residence, stating that he had been living in the family home for over a year and that the claim of malicious intent was “invented” to falsely implicate him.
The actor further highlighted the inhumane nature of the complaint, particularly regarding the involvement of his innocent 7-month-old daughter. “Dragging an innocent baby into this dispute is appalling,” he remarked. Additionally, he raised questions about the missing CCTV footage, demanding an investigation into the tampering that had allegedly occurred.
Manchu also refuted any claims of seeking properties or inheritance, stressing that his life had been built on his own merit.
