Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited thriller Raid 2 is off to a flying start at the box office and continues to show strength on its second day. The film, which released on May 1, 2025, opened to a solid ₹17 crore collection, fueled by a partial holiday on Labour Day and Maharashtra Day. According to morning trends on Day 2, the film is holding steady with a marginal dip, indicating strong audience interest and positive word of mouth.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Raid and brings back the sharp and fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik, played by Ajay Devgn. This time, the narrative is set seven years after the events of the original, and follows Patnaik’s 75th raid—his most challenging one yet—targeting a powerful politician, Dada Manohar Bhai, portrayed by Riteish Deshmukh.
