Ajay Devgn’s much-anticipated sequel, Raid 2, continues its impressive run at the box office. After delivering a solid extended opening weekend, the film has reportedly collected Rs 71 crore in its first four days. As expected, Day 5 (Monday) is likely to witness a customary dip in collections, following a high on Sunday, where it registered its biggest single-day earnings of Rs 21.75 crore.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 brings back IRS Officer Amay Patnaik, now conducting the 75th raid of his career. The film, a sequel to the 2018 hit Raid, has received a warm response, particularly in Maharashtra and Gujarat, thanks to the established brand of the franchise and Devgn’s strong fan base.

The movie also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor in pivotal roles and is running alongside stiff competition from Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh and The Bhootnii. Despite this, Raid 2 has emerged as a frontrunner, supported by strong word-of-mouth and mass appeal.

Box Office Snapshot:

  • Total Collection (Day 1–4): ₹71 crore

  • Sunday Collection (Highest): ₹21.75 crore

  • Expected Day 5 Trend: Minor drop (customary for Mondays)

With momentum on its side, Raid 2 is now eyeing a spot in the coveted ₹100 crore club within the first week and is projected to surpass ₹150 crore in its lifetime run—making it one of the biggest Bollywood grossers of 2025 so far.

Backed by T-Series, the film has cemented its status as a box office success, proving that Ajay Devgn’s portrayal of a no-nonsense tax officer still resonates with audiences.
