Telugu cinema icon Ram Charan is set to join the prestigious lineup at Madame Tussauds Singapore, with his wax figure scheduled for unveiling in the summer of 2025. This announcement was made during the 2024 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Abu Dhabi, where Charan was honored with the “Madame Tussauds of the Future Award.” The award recognizes his significant contributions to Indian cinema and his global appeal.
In a groundbreaking move, Charan’s wax figure will include his beloved pet dog, Rhyme, making him only the second celebrity, after Queen Elizabeth II, to have a pet featured alongside them at the museum. Charan expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’m really touched that the Madame Tussauds team included my darling pet Rhyme with my figure. This means a lot to me, as it shows the perfect synergy between my work and my life—Rhyme is a big part of it. This one is special.”
The collaboration between IIFA and Madame Tussauds Singapore, established in 2017, aims to celebrate the brilliance of Indian cinema on a global platform. Charan’s addition to the museum’s IIFA Zone, alongside other Bollywood legends like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Amitabh Bachchan, underscores the growing influence of Indian film worldwide. Alex Ward, Regional Director of Merlin Entertainments, expressed excitement about continuing this tradition, stating, “We are thrilled to be welcoming Ram Charan’s figure to join the rest of the stars at our very own IIFA Zone in Madame Tussauds Singapore.”
As Madame Tussauds Singapore celebrates its 10th anniversary, the unveiling of Ram Charan’s wax figure adds to the excitement, offering fans a unique opportunity to connect with their favorite star in a personal way. Charan’s inclusion in the museum not only honors his achievements in South Indian cinema but also highlights his widespread popularity among fans across the globe.
