Actor Ajaz Khan has been booked in a rape case filed by a fellow actress, according to Charkop Police in Mumbai. The actress has alleged that Khan sexually assaulted her under the pretext of marriage, and a formal complaint has led to the registration of a case under Sections 64, 64(2)(M), 69, and 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Allegations:
The complainant claims that Ajaz Khan:
-
Promised her a role in his OTT project House Arrest and future ventures.
-
Proposed marriage during the production of the show.
-
Raped her at his residence on March 25, citing the promise of marriage.
-
Allegedly assaulted her again days later and justified his actions by saying that his religion permits up to four marriages, assuring her he would “take responsibility.”
The police have confirmed that an active investigation is underway.
Additional FIR in Obscenity Case:
In a separate development, Mumbai Police have registered a case against Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others related to the allegedly obscene content in the web series House Arrest, which is available on the Ullu App.
This FIR was filed based on a complaint by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya, who raised concerns over objectionable scenes in the show. An official from Amboli Police Station stated, “A case has been registered against actor Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey of the House Arrest web show, and other individuals associated with Ullu App.”
What’s Next?
Both cases—rape and obscenity—are currently under police scrutiny. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether Khan has been taken into custody or summoned for questioning. More developments are expected as the investigations progress.
