Actor Shehzad Khan, who starred alongside Salman in the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, has come forward in a powerful defense of the Bollywood icon, asserting that the superstar’s stardom is far from over.
In an interview with India Today, Shehzad addressed the backlash Sikandar faced for its weak plot, lackluster action sequences, and mixed performances. Shutting down claims that Salman Khan’s star power is fading, Shehzad said, “Yes, his films not working is fine, but Salman Khan can never be finished. Until God calls him, he will keep going. There’s no replacement for Salman Khan.”
Shehzad praised Salman as “a Tiger who is and will always remain alive.” He showed faith in Salman’s upcoming projects, stating that they will be “super-duper hits.” The actor also advised fans not to take online criticism and YouTube commentary too seriously, especially when it targets someone like Salman.
Delving deeper into Salman Khan’s off-screen persona, Shehzad highlighted the Tiger 3 actor’s generosity. He revealed that Salman often gives struggling actors opportunities without expecting anything in return. “He supports others purely out of goodwill. Even when projects don’t work out, it’s often because he’s trying to help someone in need,” he added.
Shehzad also spoke about Salman’s long-term humanitarian goals, disclosing the superstar’s plans to build a hospital for pets and another facility offering free cancer and heart treatment. He remarked, “There is a saying, ‘When gold is crushed, the truth of a man comes out.’ He is that.”
Praising Salman’s grounded nature, Shehzad noted that the actor’s demeanor hasn’t changed despite decades of superstardom. He added that while some misjudge Salman, millions remain emotionally connected to him, comparing his fan frenzy to the late Rajesh Khanna’s—but even more deeply rooted.
