After back-to-back projects like Ranger, the Rakesh Maria Biopic, and No Entry 2, Tamannaah Bhatia is now set to star alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan, a mythological thriller directed by Deepak Mishra of TVF fame. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is rooted in folklore and set in the heart of India’s forests. Filming is scheduled to begin in June 2025, with a theatrical release planned for 2026.

According to sources close to the development, Tamannaah plays a performance-heavy role that will require intense prep, including diction training with co-star Sidharth Malhotra. This marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two actors and Tamannaah’s first foray into a mythology-inspired story.

The film will be shot in real forest locations across central India, with pre-production already underway to scout suitable landscapes. The story is said to be deeply influenced by Hindu mythology and local folklore, aiming to offer a gritty, atmospheric narrative.

Sidharth Malhotra, currently wrapping up Param Sundari, will begin work on Vvan before diving into Raaj Shaandilyaa’s next and Race 3. Meanwhile, Tamannaah is finishing her commitments on Ranger and Rakesh Maria Biopic before moving on to No Entry 2 and then Vvan. The buzz around this pairing and the unique setting is already building anticipation among fans.
